About the Pathfinders Summer Institute 2026

Pathfinders Summer Institute 2026, the Foundation’s signature professional upskilling program, builds on extraordinary momentum and a deep commitment to uplifting educators nationwide. Last year, we welcomed our largest ever cohort of 1,447 public school educators and librarians. It was a powerful milestone in a journey that has now empowered over 6,500 educators and helped reach more than 800,000 students since 2018.
Under this year’s theme, “Pathways to Possibility” we continue advancing a bold vision. We strive to ensure that every educator in every community deserves access to high-quality, Foundation supported training that fosters future ready learning and prepares students for the workforce of tomorrow. Together, we are shaping classrooms where every student can imagine – and build – a brighter future.
About the KISS Institute for Practical Robotics course
Join us for a hands-on series of STEM-focused webinars designed to equip K–12 educators with practical tools to teach:
  • • Computer science fundamentals
  • • Computational thinking
  • • Introductory AI concepts
This inquiry-based program covers programming fundamentals and engineering design concepts and is built for classrooms, extracurricular clubs, and camps.

The Junior Botball Challenge (JBC) equipment is reusable year after year, and the program works well in hybrid, in-person, and virtual learning environments.

You’ll also have access to the Virtual Botball Academy Simulator, a virtual implementation of the Junior Botball Challenge that allows you to practice and build CS skills anytime.

By the end of the course, you’ll be ready to implement Junior Botball Challenge with your students.

Class Webinar Details:

  • • 10 four-hour sessions (40 hours total)
  • • 8–10 hours may be completed asynchronously
  • • Complete in one week, or split across two weeks
